Who we are: BRWSH is operated by West and Wales Decorating Centres Ltd (Company No. 11987819), Jumaro, Gwbert, Cardigan, SA43 1PP (“BRWSH”, “we”, “us”).

1) Scope

This notice explains how we collect and use personal data when you visit www.brwsh.co.uk, contact us, request quotes, place orders (in-store, by phone or email), or receive our services.

2) What data we collect

• Contact & order details: name, address, phone, email; order/quote notes; delivery instructions.

• Trade account details (if applicable): business name, contacts, credit references.

• Communications: emails, contact-form messages, call notes.

• Website usage: IP address, pages viewed, time/date, via server logs and cookies/analytics (no special category data).

• Payment: We do not store full card details. Card payments (e.g., in store or via secure link) are processed by recognised providers.

3) How we use your data & lawful bases

• To respond to enquiries and provide quotes (legitimate interests / steps to contract).

• To process and fulfil orders, arrange delivery/collection, and provide after-sales support (contract).

• To manage trade accounts and credit control (legitimate interests/contract; legal obligation for records).

• To keep business and tax records (legal obligation).

• To improve our website and services using aggregated analytics (legitimate interests).

• With your consent where required (e.g., certain cookies or optional marketing). You can withdraw consent at any time.

4) Sharing your data

We share only what’s necessary with:

• Couriers and suppliers to deliver/fulfil your order (e.g., selected paint manufacturers for direct-to-customer dispatch).

• Payment providers (e.g., Stripe/Braintree/PayPal) to securely process payments.

• IT/website providers for hosting, email and analytics support.
  We do not sell your data. We require all processors to keep your data secure and act only on our instructions.

5) International transfers

If a supplier or processor stores data outside the UK, we ensure appropriate safeguards (e.g., UK Addendum to EU SCCs or an adequacy decision).

6) Retention

• Enquiries/quotes: typically up to 12 months.

• Orders & invoices: 6 years (tax/legal).

• Trade accounts: for the life of the account + 6 years.

• Server logs/analytics: typically 12–24 months (aggregated where possible).
  We keep data only as long as necessary for the purpose collected or to meet legal requirements.

7) Your rights

You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict or object to processing, and to data portability in certain cases. Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw consent at any time. You can also set preferences for cookies (see section 9).

8) Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data (secure hosting, access controls, staff training). No method is 100% secure, but we work to industry good practice.
